Jonica graduated with her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2018. She has experience working with both adult and pediatric populations in skilled nursing, home health care, and private practice settings. Jonica wants her patients and families to know that she values this career because she gets to make a positive impact in their lives. In her fee time she enjoys outdoor adventures such as hiking, camping, and biking. She also loves spending her time with her friends and family.
Jonica is licensed by the Oklahoma State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. She holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association, and she is a member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association.
Jonica is trained in PROMPT (PROMPTS for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets), which is a multidimensional approach for the treatment of speech production disorders that embraces not only the well-known physical-sensory aspects of motor performance, but also its cognitive-linguistic and social-emotional aspects. PROMPT is about integrating all domains and systems towards positive communication outcomes.
