Pediatric Feeding & Swallowing Therapy

Two children sharing strawberries and milk at a kitchen table.

At Advanced Therapy Solutions, we provide comprehensive feeding and swallowing evaluation and treatment for children of all ages—from infancy through adolescence. Feeding challenges can affect nutrition, growth, development, family routines, and a child’s overall well-being. Our speech-language pathologists work closely with families to identify the cause of feeding or swallowing difficulties and develop individualized treatment plans to support safe, successful eating.

We understand that feeding concerns can feel stressful and overwhelming for families, and we are committed to providing compassionate, family-centered care every step of the way.

Some children experience swallowing difficulties that may impact safety during eating and drinking.

Signs of swallowing concerns may include:

Our therapists assess swallowing function and provide evidence-based treatment plans to improve swallowing safety and efficiency.

AmpCare NMES for Pediatric Dysphagia

Advanced Therapy Solutions offers AmpCare Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES) as part of treatment for pediatric dysphagia when clinically appropriate.

AmpCare NMES uses targeted electrical stimulation to activate swallowing muscles while participating in therapeutic swallowing exercises. This treatment may help improve strength, coordination, and swallowing function in children with dysphagia.

AmpCare NMES is always used as part of a comprehensive therapy program and is tailored to each child’s individual needs and diagnosis.

What to Expect

During an evaluation, our speech-language pathologist will assess your child’s feeding and swallowing skills, medical history, oral motor abilities, and mealtime challenges. Together, we will create an individualized plan to help your child feed more safely, comfortably, and successfully.

Family involvement is an important part of therapy, and we provide education, coaching, and practical strategies to support progress at home.

Our Goal

Our goal is to help children eat and drink safely, improve feeding skills, support nutrition and growth, and create more positive mealtime experiences for the whole family.
